About Us
Georgia Senate Bill 361, the ‘Law Enforcement Strategic Support’ (LESS Crime Act) allows for the creation of qualified law enforcement foundations to receive tax deductible donations. The Jones County Law Enforcement Foundation was therefore created solely for the benefit of the Jones County Sheriff’s Office to recruit, train, and retain the best deputies, jailers, and dispatchers to serve the citizens of Jones County. The Jones County Sheriff’s Office budget for fiscal year 2023/2024 is $7,426,355.00, which includes all employee salaries, facilities maintenance, and jail/inmate costs.
