Each year, the Georgia Sheriff's Association also selects a Sheriff of the Year. The Jones County Sheriff’s Office, through the Salute to Georgia Sheriffs foundation, hosts a yearly ceremony to honor all sheriffs in Georgia, as well as celebrate the selected Sheriff of the Year.
